Puppy Abandoned and Left to Die in Plastic Carrier
The RSPCA were called at around 2:30pm on Monday, 15th February, after a member of the public found a lifeless puppy dumped on Edington Road, Steeple Ashton.
Tragic Discovery
The tan and white female pup was trapped inside a plastic animal carrier. Horrifyingly, the carrier contained faeces, suggesting she was alive when abandoned and died trapped inside.
RSPCA inspector Steph Daly said,
“It’s not clear when she was dumped or how long she had been dead, but we’d be keen to hear from anyone who recognises her or knows where she came from.”
She added,
“It’s shocking to think she was discarded like rubbish and left to die at the roadside.”
Seeking Information from the Public
The puppy is believed to be a Jack Russell cross, about six weeks old. The charity urges anyone with information to come forward and help with their ongoing investigation.
