Motorcyclist in Life-Threatening Crash on A429 – Police Hunt Witnesses

Serious Crash Shakes Lower Stanton St Quintin

Wiltshire Police are urgently appealing for witnesses after a nasty collision on the A429 at Lower Stanton St Quintin this Friday afternoon.

At around 2:40pm on 18 April, a Nissan X-Trail travelling north slowed abruptly to avoid a pedestrian. A Suzuki SV650 motorbike behind couldn’t stop in time and slammed into the back of the car.

The impact threw the 20-year-old rider into the path of an oncoming black Land Rover Freelander. Emergency crews raced to the scene where the motorcyclist was found with suspected serious internal injuries. He was rushed to hospital for urgent treatment, but his condition remains unknown.

Road Closure and Investigation Underway

Police partially shut the road to investigate. Collision experts are combing the scene for clues in this multi-vehicle crash.

Police Launch Witness Appeal

Wiltshire’s Serious Collision Investigation Team want to hear from anyone who saw the smash or has dashcam footage from before or after.

“This was a serious incident involving multiple vehicles and a young motorcyclist. We are keen to speak with anyone who may have seen what happened or has footage that could help us establish the full circumstances of the collision.”
