BBC South East Walks 61 Miles for Children in Need

61-Mile Pier-to-Pier Challenge
The 1 pier-to-pier challenge kicked off from Gravesend on Monday, launching a gruelling 61-mile (98km) trek. Over five days, the walkers pushed through countryside, determined to boost funds for the nationwide campaign encouraging people to get walking.
From Gravesend to Eastbourne Pier
The route began at Town Pier, Gravesend, cutting through remote north Kent landscapes before hitting Tunbridge Wells. Then it pushed on through Mayfield and Heathfield, following the famous Cuckoo Trail before finishing at Eastbourne Pier.
