Massive £5.4 Million Blaze Engulfs Hampstead Flats
Around 70 firefighters and 10 fire engines have been battling a huge house fire in Hampstead this evening. The blaze, which broke out shortly after 6:30pm, has ripped through a converted property on Netherhall Gardens, valued at an eye-watering £5.4 million.
Roof and Fourth Floor Fully Ablaze
The fire has completely engulfed the roof and the entire fourth floor of the building, creating dramatic scenes as emergency crews fight to contain the inferno. Two 32-metre aerial ladder platforms are being used as water towers, supported by specialist drone teams providing real-time updates to the Incident Commander.
One Hospitalised, Area Locked Down
One person has been treated for smoke inhalation and rushed to hospital by London Ambulance Service. Authorities have urged the public to steer clear of the area while road closures remain in force amid ongoing emergency operations.
Cause Unknown, Firefighters Battle Through Night
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation. Fire control received over 30 calls reporting the fire and swiftly mobilised crews from West Hampstead, Kentish Town, Holloway, Hendon, North Kensington, and nearby stations.
A London Fire Brigade spokesman said: “Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters are at the scene of a fire on Netherhall Gardens. Crews brought the fire under control by 9:10pm but remain on site to fully extinguish it. We expect to be here throughout the night.”
