The UK Coastguard is urgently coordinating a major hunt on the Isle of Wight for two missing people last seen yesterday morning (Saturday 22 April).

The pair, a father and son, were spotted heading out for a day’s fishing in a silver Mazda Bongo campervan. When they failed to return, alarm bells rang.

  • Hampshire Police

Teams scoured both inland areas and the coastline in a frantic bid to find them.

Public Urged to Help

Anyone with information was told to call 999 and ask for the Coastguard immediately.

UPDATE: Missing Pair Found Safe and Well

The Coastguard has confirmed the father and son have been located safe and well. The search has now been called off, with Cowes RNLI lifeboat and Rescue Helicopter 175 heading back to base.
