Banksy Mural Wiped Out in Kent Farmhouse Demolition
The latest Banksy masterpiece has met a swift and sad end. The famous street artist’s new mural was spotted on the side of a 500-year-old farmhouse in Deal, Kent, only to be demolished within hours.
Boy and Cat Silhouette Torn Down
The artwork featured a haunting silhouette of a boy and his cat, cleverly painted on a bricked-up window framed with sheets of corrugated iron acting as curtains. The scene captured hearts — but not for long.
Anonymous posted a photo of the mural alongside footage of builders tearing it down, captioned “Morning is Broken.”
Builders Shocked and Heartbroken
Construction crews, preparing the site of Blacksole Farm in Kent for 67 new homes, had no clue they were demolishing a Banksy. “It made me feel sick realising it was a Banksy – we were gutted,” said builder George Caudwell.
He added, “The landowner was just as clueless, watching us knock it down.”
Banksy Strikes Again, But Council Cracks Down
This isn’t Banksy’s first appearance in the area. Just weeks ago, another mural appeared in Margate showing a 1950s couple alongside an old fridge.
Local council quickly removed that piece citing “safety concerns,” though they claim it was for an official exhibition.
