A 23-year-old man from Rochester was arrested after a thrilling foot chase through Chatham that ended with police seizing drugs, a knife, and thousands in cash.
Suspicious Behaviour Sparks Police Pursuit
At around 4pm on Monday, July 7, officers on patrol spotted a man acting suspiciously on Chatham High Street. When approached, the suspect bolted, ditching a mobile phone and a plastic bag as he fled.
Chase Ends at Sun Wharf with Big Haul
The chase concluded at Sun Wharf, where officers caught and arrested the man. A search uncovered a stash of suspected Class A and B drugs, including:
- Heroin and ketamine
- Cannabis
- A knife
- Digital scales
- £2,300 in cash
