Cyclist Killed in Horror A31 Crash Near Four Marks
Tragedy struck on the A31 dual carriageway between Four Marks and Chawton on Friday evening, November 18. A 61-year-old man on a bike was fatally hit by a black Peugeot 207 at around 5.45pm.
Fatal Smash on Busy Dual Carriageway
Both the cyclist and the Peugeot were travelling eastbound when the collision happened. The cyclist suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 62-year-old Peugeot driver was taken to Basingstoke hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Road Closure and Police Probe Underway
The A31 was shut down both ways for five hours to clear the wreckage and for a police investigation.
Witnesses Urgently Needed
