Disneyland Paris Set to Reopen July 15
After months of lockdown, Disneyland Paris will throw open its gates again from 15th July 2020. The much-loved resort is kicking off a phased reopening, starting with both theme parks, Disney’s Newport Bay Club hotel, and Disney Village.
Strict Safety Rules to Protect Visitors and Staff
Health and safety come first. Disneyland Paris will operate at limited capacity to follow government guidelines. To manage visitor numbers, a new online reservation system launches in early July—entry depends on availability.
- Face masks: Everyone aged 11 and above must wear masks at all times, except when eating.
- Social distancing: Limited attendance and strict spacing in queues and attractions will be enforced.
- Enhanced cleaning: Cleaning routines will be ramped up across the resort.
- Sanitising stations: Over 2,000 hand sanitising and washing points installed for guest use.
Travel Advice for UK Visitors
The Foreign & Commonwealth Office currently warns Brits against all but essential international travel. Rules are tight and could change suddenly depending on the local COVID-19 situation.
“If you test positive abroad, expect to stay there until fully recovered. Quarantine or self-isolation rules will be enforced locally, often for extended periods.”
Plan thoroughly. Expect possible delays returning to the UK and consider the financial and practical implications of unexpected stays abroad.
