Euro 2024 Shakes Up EastEnders’ BBC Schedule!
EastEnders Hits BBC Two Amid Football Fuss
Fans of the Albert Square saga, brace yourselves! EastEnders won’t be sticking to its usual BBC One slot this week. Thanks to the Euro 2024 football bonanza, the soap will be shifted around, sometimes airing on BBC Two to make room for live football coverage.
The Euro 2024 tournament kicked off last Friday and is already causing prime-time chaos. But don’t worry, the drama continues Monday to Friday at 7.30 PM – just be ready to switch channels on some nights.
This Week’s EastEnders TV Line-Up
- Monday, June 17: 7.30 PM on BBC One
- Tuesday, June 18: 7.30 PM on BBC Two
- Wednesday, June 19: 7.30 PM on BBC Two
- Thursday, June 20: 7.30 PM on BBC Two
Episodes will also be up on BBC iPlayer from 6 AM Monday to Thursday, so you can binge away whenever you want.
BBC Confirms the Switch
The official @bbceastenders Twitter account posted:
“#EastEnders is on @BBCOne tonight at 7:30pm and on @BBCTwo Tuesday-Thursday at 7:30pm. You can also watch right now on @BBCiPlayer!”
Why the Switch? Euro 2024 Takes Over
Here’s why the soap is being shuffled:
- Tuesday, June 18: Gary Lineker hosts live Group F clash Portugal vs Czechia from Leipzig (kick-off 8 PM, BBC One).
- Wednesday, June 19: Gabby Logan presents Scotland vs Switzerland from Cologne (kick-off 8 PM, BBC One).
- Thursday, June 20: Denmark vs England from Frankfurt Arena featuring live coverage from 4 PM to 7.30 PM (kick-off 5 PM, BBC One).
Don’t Miss Out!
EastEnders kicks off tonight on BBC One at 7.30 PM and stays available on iPlayer for catch-up. The schedule shuffle might feel annoying, but it means you won’t miss a single moment of your favourite soap during the Euro 2024 frenzy.
