A massive fire erupted tonight on Bournemouth’s clifftop near the pier, forcing a major emergency response and road closures. Fire crews are battling flames covering around 100 by 100 metres.

Firefighters from five different stations rushed to the scene at 8:39pm following reports of the blaze on the undercliff near Bournemouth Pier. East Overcliff Drive has been shut to traffic while crews work to contain the fire.
Blaze Visible for Miles, Public Told to Steer Clear
The fire is clearly visible from the beach, the clifftop, and all the way to Southbourne, drawing widespread attention. Emergency services remain on site late into the evening, battling to stop the flames spreading further.
