Motorbike collision near Motcombe claims life
Anthony Graham Cassano, 38, from Christchurch, died instantly after a crash on the A350 near Motcombe village on Saturday afternoon. The motorcyclist collided with an Audi Q5 during a ride with a friend. Emergency services rushed to the scene, but sadly, Anthony was pronounced dead.
Remembering Tony: Loving son, brother, and dad
His family has released a poignant statement: “Following an accident that happened on Saturday 12th September on the A350 in Wiltshire, our beloved son Tony Cassano, brother to Dean, and father to Liam, tragically died whilst out with his friend on an afternoon motorbike ride.”
They added, “He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time on his bike with his brother and friends. Tony will be remembered as a confident, caring, understanding, and witty person who made friends easily. He was a true gentleman.”
Family thanks emergency crews, pleads for privacy
The family expressed deep gratitude to those who assisted at the crash scene: “The family would like to thank all the people that gave assistance, especially the emergency services and members of the public who worked hard to help him.”
They concluded by requesting privacy during their “very devastating time.”
