Blaze Hits Becontree Avenue Opticians – Woman Hospitalised
Firefighters rushed to a blaze at an opticians shop beneath residential flats on Becontree Avenue this morning. Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters battled the flames.
Rapid Response Quells Ground Floor Fire
The fire broke out at 10:51 AM, causing damage to part of the ground floor. Crews from Dagenham, Hornchurch, Ilford, and Tottenham fire stations swiftly arrived and had the fire under control by 11:36 AM.
One Woman Treated for Smoke Inhalation
A woman was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation before being rushed to hospital. Luckily, no other injuries were reported.
Fire Investigation Underway
The London Fire Brigade is probing the cause of the blaze. They are urging residents and local businesses to come forward with any info that might aid their investigation.
