Blaze Hits Enfield Flats: Four Engines, 25 Firefighters Fight Fire
Fiery Inferno Ravages Seventh-Floor Flat
A fierce fire broke out on Thursday morning at a block of flats on Exeter Road, Enfield. The blaze ignited in a three-room flat on the seventh floor of the 13-storey building, causing serious damage. The flat’s balcony was completely destroyed, and flames leapt onto the neighbouring flat’s balcony.
Rapid Response from London Fire Brigade
The London Fire Brigade (LFB) received the emergency call at 11:02 AM. Fire crews from Enfield, Chingford, and Edmonton stations rushed to the scene with four fire engines. Around 25 firefighters battled the flames, bringing the fire under control by midday.
“Firefighters worked swiftly to bring the fire under control and prevent further damage to the building. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported.” – LFB spokesperson
Cause Under Probe, Safety Warning Issued
The cause of the fire remains unknown as authorities launch an investigation. Meanwhile, the London Fire Brigade is urging residents in high-rise blocks to review their fire safety plans and know their emergency escape routes.
