Blazing Fire Rips Through Log Cabin in Newport

Firefighters on the Isle of Wight are tackling a fierce blaze in Newport tonight.

Log Cabin Engulfed on East Cowes Road

Just after 5.40pm, two fire crews from Newport were scrambled to East Cowes Road.

The fire, involving a log cabin containing gas cylinders, quickly became well alight, sparking a serious incident.

Hours of Danger and Cooling Efforts

Crews spent two intense hours cooling the blaze and carefully removing gas cylinders to prevent explosions.

The property suffered severe damage, but thankfully, no injuries have been reported.

“No one is believed to have been hurt,” confirmed an Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue spokesperson.
