Blazing Inferno Rips Through Belvedere Bungalow
Four fire crews from Bexley, Plumstead, and nearby stations rushed to a fierce bungalow blaze on Lower Road, Belvedere, early Sunday morning. The call came just after 1am following reports of a loud explosion that tore through the property, believed to be unoccupied.
Firefighters Battle Roof-Engulfing Flames
Firefighters deployed multiple hose reels and high-pressure jets to tackle the well-developed fire. Flames quickly engulfed the roof, forcing crews to fight hard to contain the inferno.
Neighbours Evacuated as Roads Shut
Crews made solid progress preventing the blaze from spreading to the neighbouring bungalow. Several residents were evacuated from nearby homes as a safety precaution.
Met Police closed multiple roads to help the firefighting efforts, ensuring crews had clear access to the scene.
Paramedics Check on Evacuated Residents
London Ambulance’s “Hart” team attended the scene to assess and treat those evacuated from nearby properties. Thankfully, no serious injuries have been reported at this stage.
