Shots Fired at Spring Vale Walk Property in Early Hours
Around 1am this morning (Friday, 1 October), gunfire shattered the calm in Spring Vale Walk. Shots were fired at a property, causing damage but, luckily, no one was hurt.
Police Urge Witnesses to Speak Up
South Yorkshire Police are hunting for anyone who saw or heard suspicious activity around the time of the shooting. Officers want the public’s help to piece together what happened.
“This would have been terrifying for those inside the property. Thankfully, nobody was hurt,” said Detective Chief Inspector Paul Murphy, head of the Armed Crime Team.
“If you have any information, no matter how small, please come forward. Your tip could be vital to our investigation.”
Reassurance for the Community
DCI Murphy stressed this was an isolated incident. Extra police patrols will be on duty to keep residents safe and ease concerns.
“We’re committed to taking illegal weapons off the streets of South Yorkshire. Their impact can be devastating, and we won’t rest until the area is safe.”
