Blaze Erupts on Chingford Mount Road
Chaos on Chingford Mount Road as ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters battle a fierce flat fire with shops below. Fire crews rushed to the scene shortly after 4pm on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.
Residents Evacuated as Fire Spreads to Roof
Residents were evacuated for safety while firefighters fought the blaze, which has spread up to the roof of the affected building. The London Fire Brigade has remained on site for almost three hours trying to bring the fire under control.
Road Closure in Place – Avoid the Area
Station Commander Paul Green confirmed: “Fire crews are working hard to bring the fire under control. Chingford Mount Road is closed between Frances Road and Royston Avenue. Please avoid the area if possible.”
A road closure remains in effect as emergency services continue their work. Authorities urge the public to steer clear of the area while the situation unfolds.
