A man was rushed to hospital after dangerous fumes filled a London home when bleach was mixed with limescale remover, firefighters revealed.

Fire Brigade Issues Stark Safety Warning

Two crews from Hammersmith fire station swung into action, safely venting the property and flushing the chemicals down the drain.

A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “Household cleaning products do pose a risk when used incorrectly. Always follow the instructions carefully and never mix chemicals — it could release hazardous fumes.”

The spokesperson added: “Make sure you always keep them securely sealed and out of the reach of children.”
