Blaze Rips Through Westminster Townhouse
Twelve fire engines and around 80 firefighters were scrambled this afternoon to tackle a fierce fire on Eaton Place, Westminster.
Roof and Flats Ravaged by Flames
The fire tore through a five-storey residential townhouse, gutting the roof and destroying flats on the third and fourth floors.
Massive Response as Fire Rages for Hours
The Brigade received 26 urgent calls reporting the blaze. Fire crews from Clapham, Dowgate, Soho, Hammersmith, and nearby stations rushed to the scene.
The fire was reported at 11:41am and finally brought under control at 2:37pm.
Investigation Underway as Firefighters Secure Scene
Firefighters remain on site to prevent flare-ups while authorities launch an investigation into the fire’s cause.
