Blazing Woodland Fire Hits Hawkhurst: Five Fire Engines Race to Scene

A massive woodland fire erupted near Park Lane in Hawkhurst, Cranbrook this evening, sparking a swift and serious response from Kent Fire and Rescue Service.

Fire crews were dispatched at 6:29pm with five fire engines and a bulk water carrier. Armed with specialist kit like beaters, drag rakes, and powerful water jets, firefighters battled the blaze for hours, finally bringing it under control just before midnight.
