Spice Girls at 30: Girl Power Exhibition Set to Thrill Fans
The Spice Girls are back – and bigger than ever! To celebrate 30 years since their explosive debut, the British Music Experience (BME) is launching a dazzling new exhibition, “Girl Power! Spice Girls at 30”.
Opening on February 7 and running until September 8, 2024, it’s a nostalgic trip down memory lane, packed with iconic costumes, rare memorabilia, and plenty of nostalgic hits.
Exclusive Outfits and Never-Before-Seen Memorabilia
Curated by superfan and Guinness World Record-holder Liz West, the collection is the ultimate Spice Girls treasure trove. Expect the legendary looks of Sporty, Baby, Scary, Ginger, and Posh, crafted by top international designers and even commissioned by the Spice Girls themselves.
“I started my Spice obsession when I was 11 and am thrilled to showcase items never seen in public before,” Liz West said. “This is more than costumes – it’s a celebration of empowerment and the cultural impact of the Spice Girls.”
A Celebration of Spice Girls’ Impact on Music and Culture
BME director Elizabeth Koravos praised the exhibition, highlighting how the Spice Girls smashed the male-dominated 90s music scene and inspired a generation with their message of girl power.
The exhibit features captivating audiovisual elements, including a stage show montage of hits and dedicated listening stations. Plus, there’s a full season of fun planned: film screenings, live chats, acoustic gigs, and a quiz night. A fabulous shrine for die-hard fans and new converts alike!
Launch Night and Tickets
The big launch on February 7 promises a cracking night with access to the museum galleries, Merch Store, and the Star Café & Bar. Adding to the party vibe, tribute band The Spicey Girls will bring all the sparkle and energy of the originals.
Tickets for the launch go on sale January 15, 2024, at 10 am, priced at just £10. General entry tickets for the exhibition – valid for 12 months – are available online at britishmusicexperience.com.
This is one celebration of Spice Girls nostalgia you don’t want to miss. Girl power indeed!
