A 45-year-old migrant is on the run after attacking a teenage girl at a Dorset holiday park. Thabani Maposa, staying at a Bournemouth hotel for migrants, assaulted a 14-year-old inside a caravan at Weymouth’s Seaview Holiday Park on 23 May 2025.
Drugs Offered Before Assault on Teen Girl
Maposa approached a group of children aged 12 to 15, drinking inside the caravan. He offered whisky, cannabis, and cocaine before grabbing the 14-year-old girl by the shoulder and waist, pulling her close.
Heroic Teen Blocks Door to Stop Attack
An older boy sprang into action. He threw Maposa’s jacket outside and locked the caravan door, preventing further harm to the children.
Convicted in Absentia – Now a Fugitive
Maposa denied the assault but was found guilty at the magistrates’ court without even showing up. The girl’s testimony was ruled credible, and the conviction stood. A warrant has been issued after Maposa skipped court and vanished.
