Early Morning Blaze in Dartford: One Treated for Smoke Inhalation
A house fire erupted in Bean, Dartford, in the early hours of Sunday, leaving one person rushed to hospital with smoke inhalation.
Flames Tackled by Kent Fire and Rescue
Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene on High Street at around 4:18am. Two fire engines arrived quickly, with crews donning breathing apparatus and using high-pressure hose jets to battle the blaze.
The fire was under control and fully extinguished by 5:00am.
Casualty Treated by Ambulance Crew
The individual affected by smoke inhalation was handed over to paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) for urgent treatment.
Fire Cause Confirmed as Accidental
Investigations revealed the fire was accidental. Residents are urged to stay vigilant by checking smoke alarms regularly and avoiding common fire hazards such as unattended cooking and overloaded sockets.
