Meet Stormtroopers, Chewbacca & More!
Celebrate May 4th with fellow Star Wars superfans, including Stormtroopers from the Isle of Wight Garrison of the 501st Legion and one of the UK’s top Chewbacca impersonators. Event organiser Ben E. Belton said:
“What better way to celebrate May 4th than to pack a ferry full of Star Wars cosplayers! We can’t wait to see everyone on board the Millennium Falcon… May the 4th be with you!”

Island Con Draws Fans from Across the Globe
Island Con in October attracts a massive international crowd – 60% of attendees are visitors to the Isle of Wight. Fans are flying in from around the world, including @HiddenDemonSM, who’s making a 14-hour journey from Singapore just to meet actor Michael Eklund.
Known for his transformative roles in films like Into The Forest and TV hits like Gotham, Michael is one of the star guests this year. Ben E. Belton added:
“With international stars heading to the island, it’s no surprise fans worldwide are flocking here. The Isle of Wight isn’t just perfect for pop-culture events like Island Con—it’s a fantastic holiday spot too.”
Tickets have also sold all the way to Malaysia and South Africa, proving Island Con’s global appeal.
Family Fun at Island Con 2018 – Kids Zone Sponsored by Enchanted Isle
This year’s Island Con gets even better for kids! Enchanted Isle Princess Parties is sponsoring the Kids Zone, bringing party entertainment, glitter tattoos, a bouncy castle, and loads more.
