Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan Reunite for Neighbours Finale After 30 Years

Iconic Aussie soap Neighbours has called it a day after 37 years, and fans got a major treat. Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan, the legendary on-screen couple Scott and Charlene, reunited for the show’s emotional final episode – their first time back together in over 30 years!

Back in Charlene’s Famous Mechanic Overalls

On-set snaps reveal Kylie laughing and hugging Jason, dressed once again as feisty mechanic Charlene Mitchell. Her signature overalls have become a fan favourite, making the moment all the more nostalgic. Jason reprises his role as her hubby Scott Robinson, sparking plenty of excitement from long-time viewers.

Kylie tweeted to her 2.2 million followers: “Now we’re back together.”

Jason shared a photo of the Ramsay Street sign they both signed, plus a snap of his final script. He added: “So good to be back with this absolute legend @kylieminogue.”

The End of an Era for Ramsay Street

Neighbours first hit screens in 1985, following the lives of residents in the fictional Melbourne suburb of Erinsborough. Despite its huge hit status, the soap is ending production after losing funding following its broadcaster’s drop earlier this year.

Kylie and Jason, both 54, originally played Scott and Charlene until the late 1980s. Their 1987 wedding episode captivated over two million Aussie viewers and later drew nearly 20 million in the UK – a television event for the ages.

Stars Old and New Say Goodbye

Neighbours launched the careers of big names like Margot Robbie and Liam Hemsworth. For the finale, legends like Guy Pearce (Mike Young), Peter O’Brien (Shane Ramsay), Ian Smith (Harold Bishop), Mark Little (Joe Mangel), and Paul Keane (Des Clarke) are reprising their roles.

Other returning favourites include Chris Milligan (Kyle Canning), Morgan Baker (Callum Rebecchi), Natalie Bassingthwaighte (Izzy Hoyland), and James Mason (Chris Pappas), giving fans one last trip down Ramsay Street.
