Lidl Takes on Coca-Cola with Festive Cola Truck Tour
Lidl isn’t playing second fiddle this Christmas. Just days after Coca-Cola confirmed its iconic red truck’s return, Lidl has launched its own Christmas cola truck tour to spread holiday spirit across the UK.
Freeway Cola Truck Hits Nine UK Cities
The Lidl Christmas truck, decked out in festive red, sets off on November 14. It will roll into nine cities, handing out over 2,000 free gift boxes and tasty food samples at each stop. Shoppers can also submit personal Christmas wishes, some of which Lidl pledges to make come true.
“Giving back to the communities we serve is really important to us, and our exciting new Freeway truck allows us to get right into the heart of them this year,” said Joanna Gomer, Marketing Director at Lidl GB.

Coca-Cola’s Christmas Truck Returns with Charity Drive
Coca-Cola’s legendary Christmas truck tour kicks off later this month, visiting top UK spots. The campaign, titled “The World Needs More Santas,” promotes festive kindness.
For every visitor, Coca-Cola will donate the equivalent of a meal to FareShare, the UK’s largest food redistribution charity, aiming to provide up to one million meals this Christmas.
Festive Truck Rivalry Lights Up the UK
This cheeky showdown between Lidl and Coca-Cola recalls past retail battles like Aldi vs M&S’s caterpillar cake clash. As both motor through the nation, Brits can expect a little extra Christmas cheer delivered straight to their doorstep this festive season.
