A lorry was completely gutted by a fierce fire this morning in Uxbridge, the London Fire Brigade (LFB) has confirmed. The dramatic inferno broke out on Oxford Road, sparking multiple emergency calls and causing a stir among local residents.
Firefighters Battle Intense Blaze
Video footage captured the lorry fully engulfed in flames, with thick black smoke billowing high into the sky. Firefighters from Hillingdon Fire Station raced to the scene with two engines and around ten crew members. By the time the LFB arrived, the vehicle was already lost to the flames.
“Firefighters were called to reports of a lorry alight on Oxford 123 before the Brigade arrived,” said an LFB spokesperson.
The fire was first reported at 6:21 AM via nine separate emergency calls. The blaze was brought under control swiftly, with the situation contained by 7:31 AM.
Cause Unknown, No Injuries Reported
The cause of the fire remains a mystery. Thankfully, no one was hurt, as the driver acted quickly to exit the lorry before it was consumed by fire. Despite the dramatic scene, emergency crews prevented the flames from spreading to nearby homes or roads.
