A 38-year-old man from Luton, Callun Bermingham, admitted grievous bodily harm today at Luton Crown Court after stabbing and shooting his friend during a violent assault at a Repton Close address on 25 March 2025.
Brutal Stabbing And Shooting
Bermingham brutally stabbed his friend more than six times, with injuries to the head and face, before firing a close-range shot into the victim’s back inside the property.
Victims Desperate Escape
The injured victim collapsed in a neighbour’s garden calling for help. Emergency services transported him to hospital where he remained critically ill for several weeks before improving.
Chase And Arrest
Armed police chased Bermingham after he fled in a blue Jaguar, failing to stop and crashing into three vehicles while driving the wrong way on Conway Road. Officers arrested him and recovered a live firearm and a bottle of vodka in his car.
Guilty Plea And Sentencing
Bermingham has pleaded guilty to Section 18 grievous bodily harm, possession of a firearm, and dangerous driving. Sentencing is set for 24 June 2026 at Luton Crown Court.
