A serious van fire has forced the closure of the M25 clockwise between Junction 4 (Bromley) and Junction 5 (M26). Motorists are facing major delays as emergency services tackle the blaze and manage the scene.

Official Diversion Route: Avoid the Jam

Drivers are urged to follow the hollow triangle diversion signs to dodge the affected M25 stretch. The diversion route is:

  1. Exit M25 at Junction 4.
  2. Take the 2nd exit at the roundabout onto M25 Link heading towards London.
  3. At Hewitts roundabout (M25 Link / A21 / A224), take the 1st exit onto A224 towards Dunton Green.
  4. At B2211 roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A224 over M25 towards Sevenoaks.
  5. At A25 mini roundabout at Riverhead, take the 2nd exit onto A25 heading towards M25.
  6. At the second mini roundabout, turn right onto A25 towards M25.
  7. Cross A21, then turn right at traffic lights onto M25 Spur Road.
  8. Use the M25 slip road at Junction 5 to rejoin the M25 towards Gatwick.
