Official Diversion Routes in Place
Highways England has rolled out detailed diversion plans:
Northbound Diversion
- Follow the solid black triangle road signs.
- Exit M32 at Junction 2, head east on B4469 towards Fishponds.
- Continue east, merge onto A432 through Fishponds.
- Turn left onto Overndale Road, heading north to Bromley Heath.
- Stay on Overndale Road as it becomes Bromley Heath Road (A4017).
- At Bromley Heath Roundabout (A4174), take A4174 west towards M32.
- Rejoin the M32 northbound at Junction 1.
Southbound Diversion
- Follow solid black diamond road signs.
- Exit M32 at Junction 1, take A4174 west towards Filton.
- At Filton Roundabout, join A38 south towards Horfield.
- Stay on A38 south to B4469 junction at Horfield.
- Take B4469 east back to M32.
- Rejoin the M32 southbound at Junction 2.
