M50 Eastbound Shut After Crash and Flooding Nightmare
Major Incident Closes M50 Between Junction 4 and 3
A major incident has slammed the M50 eastbound shut between Junction 4 (Ross-on-Wye) and Junction 3 (Gorsley Common). A collision combined with severe flooding has made the carriageway impassable.
Emergency Teams Battle Flooding Crisis
National Highways traffic officers are on the scene, working with contractors to tackle heavy water runoff from nearby fields that’s made things worse. The flooding is hampering rescue and recovery efforts.
Drivers are urgently advised to steer clear of the area and find alternative routes. The closure could last for hours as emergency crews assess damage and clear the wreckage.
Follow These Diversion Routes
Motorists heading eastbound should follow the Solid Triangle diversion signs:
- Exit the M50 at Junction 4 and head north on the A449.
- Keep on A449 until you reach the junction with the A417 near Ledbury.
- Take the A417 southbound to rejoin the M50 at Junction 2.
