Beastly Stab Attack: Lewis Robinson Jailed for Life After Brutal Preston Assault

Stabbing Horror in Preston

Lewis Robinson, 31, of no fixed address, has been locked up for life following a vicious stabbing in Preston. The terrifying attack unfolded in the early hours of July 27 last year at a property in Beech Terrace. Police were rushed to the scene around 3.45am after a man suffered multiple stab wounds.

The victim, in his 40s, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, including two punctured lungs and deep wounds to his face and body.

Nightmare Scene Caught on CCTV

The victim told officers he was asleep when he woke to find his bedding soaked in blood. He spotted a figure standing in his bedroom doorway and quickly realised he’d been stabbed. The attacker fled the scene, but the injured man staggered outside to alert neighbours.

Robinson had first tried to break in through the front door, avoiding CCTV. When that failed, he scaled a gate and entered via the rear door. CCTV footage captured Robinson in the area at the time, even showing him discarding clothing after the assault.

Swift Justice for Cowardly Crime

Robinson was arrested and charged. Despite pleading not guilty, a jury found him guilty of attempted murder, assault, and theft. He was sentenced at Preston Crown Court to life imprisonment, with a minimum of 18 years behind bars.

Police React to Brutal Attack

Temp Det Sgt Gary Brackley of Preston Police slammed Robinson’s “cruel, cowardly and wicked” actions. He said: “He carried out a horrific, frenzied attack which left his victim with serious injuries. It is only thanks to the quick-thinking actions of the emergency services we were not dealing with a murder investigation.”

“Robinson was named by the victim as the offender but has never admitted his guilt. We welcome the sentence which reflects the gravity and seriousness of the attack.”
