Three, the UK’s second biggest mobile network, has been hit by a massive service outage lasting hours. Customers across the South Coast and as far as canterbury/" title="Canterbury" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Canterbury have been left unable to make calls or access voicemail, sparking waves of frustration on social media.
Voice Network Crashes Across the South Coast
The fault, affecting hundreds, started just before 11pm on Wednesday. Users report they can’t make or receive calls, nor pick up their voicemails. Issues seem centred on Three’s voice network, leaving many stranded without basic phone service.
Network Responds But Offers Little Detail
A Three spokesperson said: “We’re aware that some Three customers are experiencing issues affecting their voice and data roaming services. We apologise to any customers affected.”
They added advice for users: “We recommend that customers try restarting their device or turning flight mode on and off as that has restored service for a number of customers.” But no clear timeline on a full fix was given.
