Man arrested for Gosport Assault released with No charge
Police are still appealing for witnesses to contact us after a 54 year-old man was left with serious head injuries following an assault in Gosport. The victim was assaulted by a man outside an address on Westfield Road between 5pm and 6pm on Tuesday 15 July. He has subsequently been treated for injuries including fractured left and right cheek bones and a fractured eye socket at hospital and has since been released from their care. He described the man who assaulted him as: White. Aged between 20-25 years-old. Short blond hair. Medium build A 20 year-old man from Gosport has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm in connection with this assault. He has been released from custody without charge, but remains under investigation.
