Firefighters Battle Flames on Nelson Avenue

Kent Fire and Rescue Service raced to a house fire on Nelson Avenue, Sheerness, at 6:35am on Sunday. Smoke was billowing from the windows as crews arrived.

One brave firefighter, fully kitted with breathing apparatus, stormed inside. Using a main jet and hose reel, they attacked the blaze head-on.

Man Rescued, Taken to Hospital

Firefighters found a man trapped inside the property and swiftly brought him to safety. The South East Coast Ambulance Service took over his care.

Luckily, no one else was inside. Fire crews surrounded the house to snuff out every last flicker of fire.

Blaze Cause Still Unknown

Authorities have yet to determine what sparked the fire.
