Tragic End as Missing Hawkhurst Man Found Dead in Woodland

The body of 32-year-old Lee Young, missing from Hawkhurst since last Tuesday, has been found dead in nearby Lemon Woods. The heartbreaking discovery was confirmed by Lee’s father, Gary Young, who revealed his son’s body was located at 9:55am today in the rural woodland close to their home.

Family Pleads for Peace and Privacy

In a moving public statement, Gary Young asked for space to grieve, saying:

“With heartfelt regret and to thank everybody for all they have done, please give us peace and the time to mourn.”

The tragic loss has shaken the close-knit Weald community. Friends and neighbours have flooded social media with messages of condolence and lit candles in Lee’s memory. One heartfelt tribute read:
