Missing Kayakers Spark Massive Rescue Operation – Both Found Safe!

A dramatic search involving two lifeboats and two Coastguard Rescue Teams was launched this Thursday afternoon after a pair of kayakers went missing off Whitecliff Bay, Bembridge.

Emergency Scramble at Sea

The alarm was raised when the kayakers failed to return, triggering a large-scale rescue mission. Bembridge RNLI quickly dispatched both their All 1 Lifeboat and Inshore Lifeboat to scour the waters around Whitecliff Bay and nearby Sandown Bay.

Coastguard Teams Coordinate on Land

On land, the Bembridge and Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Teams spread out around Culver Down, conducting a thorough search in the surrounding areas.

Happy Ending for Missing Duo

Thankfully, HM Coastguard located both kayakers – a man and a woman – safe and well. The quick response and coordinated effort ensured a positive end to what could have been a tragedy.
