Young Biker Seriously Injured in Bradford Crash
A 21-year-old motorbiker has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a nasty smash in Bradford this afternoon.
Crash at Busy Junction Halts Traffic
The collision happened at 1.09pm at the busy intersection of Great Horton Road and Union Road. A car collided with an off-road motorbike, sparking a major emergency response.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue sent two crews to the scene. Firefighters had to cut the biker free from the wreckage before handing him over to Yorkshire Ambulance Service.
Passenger Also Hospitalised
Police confirmed a second man, who was a passenger on the motorbike, was also rushed to hospital for precautionary checks.
“A 21-year-old man riding the bike suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital for treatment,” police said. “A second man was taken to hospital for precautionary checks.”
A police cordon remains in place and nearby roads are closed. Authorities are urging drivers to avoid the area while investigations continue.
