MP Luke Evans Victim of Shocking Cyber Flashing Attacks
Luke Evans, MP for Bosworth in Leicestershire, has revealed he was targeted by cyber flashing and malicious messages. The Conservative politician took to Facebook to expose the disturbing digital abuse, spotlighting the risks public figures face online today.
Unsolicited Explicit Messages Strike Twice
Evans disclosed that he received creepy, unsolicited WhatsApp messages from two different numbers claiming to know him. The first wave hit while he was with his wife. Just ten days later, another batch arrived at his office in front of his team.
When Evans tried to verify the senders, he was instead sent sexually explicit images. Horrified, he blocked the numbers and reported the abuse to the authorities, who are now investigating.
Wider Threat Looms Over Politicians
Evans’ experience isn’t isolated. A wave of unsolicited messages has hit multiple public figures, including MPs, ministers, party staffers, and political journalists. The surge in cyber harassment raises urgent privacy and security alarms for those in public service.
