McDonald’s Drive-Through Reopens in Kent After Eight-Week Lockdown

McDonald’s has fired up its engines again in Kent! After an eight-week coronavirus lockdown, the fast-food giant has reopened its drive-through at Gillingham and 31 other locations nationwide.

Strict Social Distancing Rules in Place

Managers at the Kent drive-through are on full alert, enforcing social distancing to keep customers and staff safe. At the Gillingham branch, drivers must circle the car park three times before hitting the single order point.

The menu is slimmed down, serving a limited selection between 11am and 10pm. Perspex screens protect workers from customers at the order window.

Contactless and Capped Spending

  • Payment is contactless only whenever possible
  • Spending is capped at £25 per car

This cautious reopening follows earlier moves in May, when McDonald’s launched delivery at 15 sites across the UK as lockdown rules began to ease.

Drive safely, keep your distance, and enjoy your Big Mac safely, Kent!
