M3 Chaos: Multi-Car Smash Near Eastleigh Sparks Major Delays
Emergency crews are battling the aftermath of a multi-vehicle pile-up on the M3 near Eastleigh, Hampshire. Firefighters had to cut the roof off one car to free a trapped casualty. The South Central Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) is also on the scene, along with five fire engines, police, and traffic officers.
Road Closures Back Up Traffic
Lanes 2 and 3 are shut between Junction 13 (A335 Eastleigh) and Junction 12 (A335 Otterbourne), causing delays of up to 20 minutes. To make matters worse, lane 3 on the opposite carriageway is closed as well while emergency teams manage the incident.
Commuters Urged to Avoid the Area
Drivers are advised to steer clear of this stretch of the motorway if possible, as congestion builds and emergency efforts continue.
