Motorcyclist Injured in M20 Slip Road Crash – Van Driver Arrested

A motorcyclist was hurt in a crash on the slip road at junction 8 of the M20 this Wednesday morning.

Van Flees Scene, Rider Rushed to Hospital

The smash happened just before 8.20am as the slip road joined the westbound carriageway. Paramedics and police rushed to the scene but the van had already bolted.

The rider suffered leg and arm injuries and was taken to hospital. Thankfully, he has now been discharged.

Suspect Arrested for Dangerous Driving

Later that day, police arrested a 59-year-old man from Ashford on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He was released on bail pending further inquiries.

Roads Policing Unit Seeks Witnesses

“Before the collision, both vehicles are believed to have been travelling along the A20 from Harrietsham towards the M20,” said PC Rachel Burley of Kent Police’s Roads Policing Unit.

“We urge anyone who saw the incident or has dashcam footage to come forward.”
