Girl Escapes Unharmed After Suspicious Van Sighting in Gedling
Early morning shock in Arnold Lane, Gedling! At around 8am on Wednesday, November 30, a young girl had a close call with a strange man in a van.
Man in Van Spooked Girl, Police On The Hunt
Inspector Mark Stanley of Nottinghamshire Police revealed the girl was not harmed. The man didn’t exit the van or follow her. “She ran to a local shop and police were called,” said Stanley.
The man is described as white and wearing a surgical mask. Officers are scouring CCTV and running multiple inquiries to track down the van and suspect.
Police Step Up Patrols and Call For Witnesses
“We treat reports like this extremely seriously and are working hard to understand what really happened,” added Stanley. Police say this seems to be an isolated incident but have ramped up high-vis patrols in the area.
