One Hospitalised After Two-Car Smash in Brighstone
One person was rushed to St Mary’s Hospital following a crash on Military Road in Brighstone, Isle of Wight, this Tuesday morning.
Morning Crash on Busy Military Road
Emergency crews were called just after 9:30am to a collision between an Island Roads maintenance van and a red KIA near the New Road junction. The crash caused a brief road closure as teams secured the scene.
Injuries and Road Delays
- One person sustained minor injuries and whiplash, receiving treatment on the scene before being taken to hospital.
- The other driver walked away with minor injuries and was able to drive away.
- Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue crews from Newport and Freshwater attended to make the area safe.
One lane on Military Road remains blocked as vehicle recovery is underway, causing ongoing disruption for commuters.
