Stormy Stan and Santa Bring Festive Cheer to Newhaven RNLI Christmas Fayre

Newhaven RNLI’s annual Christmas fayre kicked off in style on November 26 at the Seaford and District Constitutional Club. The event was packed with festive fun and fundraising for a vital cause.

Santa Arrives with Stormy Stan and Elves

Stormy Stan, the beloved RNLI mascot, made a grand entrance alongside Santa on a Rotary Club sleigh, stacked with presents. Santa’s elves were on hand in the Grotto, ready to hand out gifts to delighted children.

Fun, Games, and Plenty of Prizes

The fayre buzzed with activity, featuring stalls packed with games, raffles, and tombolas. Visitors enjoyed browsing the RNLI shop for unique gifts and indulging in delicious homemade treats.

Generous Donations Push Fundraising Total Over £3,000

Newhaven lifeboat organisers revealed the latest total raised: £3,030.91. “Thanks to another generous donation, our Christmas Fayre total has soared,” they said. “We’re incredibly grateful!”

“Thank you to all the local businesses that donated raffle prizes and cakes. Thanks also to Seaford Con Club for letting us take over the building! We really do appreciate your generous support.”

All funds raised will directly support the lifesaving work of the RNLI lifeboats and crews, helping them save lives at sea.
