M20 Reopens After Serious Four-Vehicle Smash

The M20 coastbound has finally reopened following a major collision involving four vehicles. The crash, reported to Kent Police at 9.29pm on Tuesday 10 March 2020, involved two lorries, a black Citroen Cactus, and a Mercedes Sprinter van.

Van Driver Seriously Hurt Near Junction 9

The smash happened about a mile from junction 9. The Sprinter van driver, a man in his 30s from Slough, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries. Another person was also taken to a local hospital but their injuries aren’t thought to be serious.

Police Hunt Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is on the case. They want to hear from anyone who saw the crash but hasn’t contacted them yet. They’re also keen to gather dashcam footage from the M20 between junctions 8 and 9, capturing the moments before the crash.
