Portsmouth Police Hunt Football Thugs After Violent Rampage

Police are on the hunt for four men involved in a violent brawl ahead of the Portsmouth vs Plymouth Argyle game.

Terrifying Trouble in Portsmouth’s Guildhall

Between 11am and 11.30am on Friday 14 April, chaos erupted around the Guildhall area. Violent thugs targeted rival fans and police officers. Coins were hurled, smashing windows and causing damage. Innocent bystanders were caught in the crossfire as people were brutally assaulted.

Police Issue Name and Shame Appeal

PC 1 Pocock said: “These incidents took place in busy public places and caused considerable concern and worry to innocent members of the public who happened to be in the area.

“I am appealing for anyone who recognises any of the men in the CCTV to get in touch. I would also appeal directly to these men to come forward and make contact with us.”
