Taxi Driver Held at Knifepoint in Milton Keynes Early Morning Robbery
Police are hunting a crook who attacked a taxi driver in Milton Keynes at the crack of dawn.
Brazen Robbery Near The Redway
The mugging happened between 5am and 5.30am last Friday (11/9) at the end of Stonecrop Place, Conniburrow, close to The Redway. The victim, a 47-year-old taxi driver in a grey Ford Tourneo, was grabbed in a headlock and threatened with a weapon pressed against his neck.
The thief demanded all the driver’s cash before sprinting off along The Redway towards Mallow Gate, Conniburrow.
Suspect Description: Balding and Belly-Buoyed
The attacker is described as an Asian man in his 40s, about 5ft 7ins tall, with a proportionate build but a noticeably large belly. He has a long face, is balding, and clean-shaven. At the time, he wore a white chequered short-sleeved shirt and dark blue jeans.
Police Plea: Did You See Anything?
“This was a frightening incident for the victim, who was just trying to do his job,” said PC Jo Hudson of Milton Keynes police.
“Thankfully, he wasn’t hurt, but a quantity of cash was stolen. We want anyone who was near the scene or saw a man matching this description running away to get in touch.
“If you were driving nearby, please check your dash cams. You might have captured something that helps us crack this case.”
