A21 Shut Both Ways After Lorry Crashes Off Road

The A21 is still closed in both directions this morning between the A2100 at Johns Cross and the A265 at Hurst Green. An HGV veered off the carriageway early today, causing chaos on this vital East Sussex route.

Major Delays as Recovery Crews Battle Big Lorry Removal

Commuters and freight drivers are facing serious hold-ups thanks to the closure. Recovery teams are on site working hard to get the massive lorry out and reopen the road.

What Happened?

Emergency services were called around 6:30 AM after reports that a heavy goods vehicle had left the road. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. But the size of the lorry and tricky recovery has forced a full closure for safety.
